Robert A. Heinlein |
| The Moon is a Harsh Mistress |
Not in any particular order, these are my favorite RAH Novels.
Some are out of print [Like Podkayne of Mars] and available
through used book sellers.
I can't decide whether it is just nostalgia or what, but they
are good reads. What fun it is to re-read these books after so
many years.
I think that some of them create a vision of the future where such things
as interplanetary travel and colonization are possible, and where
adventures are just around the corner!
Freehold on the other hand, was written during the cold war
and can be viewed as a bit of a "rant" against the times. Still,
an enjoyable read once you get past the stereotypes. |

The People: No different Flesh
Pilgrimage: the Book of the People
Ingathering: The complete People Stories of Zenna Henderson |
There was something magical about her stories
of "The People". For years I had the paperback anthologies, but lost
them between moves. Now I was able to find a hardcopy of
Ingathering! Wonderful to have the complete set of stories in
one volume! Quick reads, you're in for a treat if you get your hands
on any of them! Maybe you'll see some in a used book store or garage
sales. but Ingathering is in print. |
